As of Oct. 24th, 2020, I have been a member of the DisabilityPride.net team for one year. And what a year it has been. We started off with big dreams and big plans, of building the blog, store and social media, adding to our credentials as entrepreneurs with the TeamWork Self-Employment workshop, attending numerous events and discussions, setting up merchandise sales, developing content for new projects, and on, and on…
As with everything else in 2020, most of our plans got sidelined. Gerianne and I had to roll with our new world and figure out DisabilityPride.net’s place in it. We have continued to dream big and work hard, building things behind the scenes and working together on things we hadn’t even dreamed of 12 months ago.
I just want to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful community Gerianne has built, and send an even bigger thank you to Gerianne herself for allowing me to be on this journey. My life has changed in so many ways since last October. We have been through some shit but it’s been an incredible experience to share with someone as awesome as Gerianne.
I can’t wait to see what the next 12 months bring!
