On March 5, 2023, I presented my Testimony of Faith, at my church – Calvin Presbyterian church, Halifax, NS, Canada.
In my introduction I said:
“This is a friend of mine, Isaac Pafitis. Isaac is an international Exchange Student, from the U.K., who’s currently studying Marine Biology, at Dal. Isaac also helps me keep my current Betta Fighter Fish, “Buddy”, healthy & happy.
Isaac’s girlfriend, Ayesha, works for me as one of my attendants, and when I told them about this morning, Isaac offered to help by reading my words. So Isaac will read my testimony out loud, to make it easier for all you guys. As Isaac reads, I may pop in a few very short extra details as well.
FYI, as Isaac reads, I’m going to try my very best to trick myself into thinking that he’s reading about someone else, because honestly, all these decades later, some of this stuff is still very emotional for me. Still, it is Rev. Mike’s and my prayer, that when you hear about my journey with God & Jesus, it just may encourage you and others to share your faith stories as well.
I want to thank Rev. Mike for welcoming me to share my faith journey thus far. I also want to thank Isaac Pafitis for his reading of my testimony.
