Midday shifts will average from 1.5 to 2 hours.

Please note #1: This job generally DOES NOT give full-time hours, “long shifts” or over-night shifts. (These types of shifts may occur extremely rarely.) This job is also NOT a “live-in” position. However the more shifts you can fill, the more hours (and take home pay) you will get!
Please note #2:
As training/orientation, new staff will be asked to come for 3 very short “shadow shifts.” Sadly, because of funding restrictions, these shadow shifts are non-paid. However whenever possible, the employer may give an honorarium at a later date.
Please note #3: Because of my personal philosophy, I do not use terms such as: care, home care, care giver, etc. My attitude is that I need physical assistance. I do not need to be “cared for” or “looked after.” The difference in terminology is one of attitude, I believe.
Please note #4:
Sadly again, because of funding restrictions, the successful applicant needs to be willing to pay their own bus fare when accompanying, (traveling with) the employer. However whenever possible, the employer will personally reimburse these travel costs. Supplied funding is strictly for staff wages.
