Job Title:

Independent Living Attendant (ILA) + Business Growth Assistant (BGA) – combined position.

Job Description:
This is a unique position where in addition to being an ILA, you will also assist with DisabilityPride.net’s growth and continued work as a First Voice organization.

Pay Rates are separated for each category:
ILA: $15.00 – $15.50 per hour + 4% vacation pay added to each pay.
BGA: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour, + 4% vacation pay added to each pay. Additionally there will be the possibility of a commission rate, depending on your demonstrated performance and reliability to be an asset to this company and team player.

Total Weekly Combined Hours:
Average 15 – 25 hours per week.

Duties & Tasks:
In addition to being a Independent Living Attendant, you will have an important role in developing DisabilityPride.net’s business growth.(For the duties of an ILA, please see: Independent Living Attendant (All shifts).

Duties:

Your assigned tasks will include, but will not be limited to:

  1. You will assist DisabilityPride.net’s owner with her personal daily living needs as determined by her.
  2. You will take an active role with business activities, including producing transcripts of video productions, transcribing other documents, and marketing & sales of all DisabilityPride.net’s merchandise and products, including the owner’s literary works, that are part of the DISABILITYPRIDE (Publishing) family of businesses.
  3. You will take an active role in identifying new opportunities for merchandise sales.
  4. You will take a lead role in tracking sales and managing inventory.\
  5. You will take a lead role in setting up and maintaining displays of merchandise at events.
  6. You will assist DisabilityPride.net’s Communications Manager in DisabilityPride.net related tasks, which may include (but is not limited to):
      • marketing campaigns via social media, email, in person events, etc.
      • You will assist the Communications Manager with photographing merch and anything of note or interest for DisabilityPride.net’s social media, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok (you will also receive photography credit).
      • You will assist both DisabilityPride.net’s Owner, and the Communications Manager in building relationships with other vendors and the public, in promoting DisabilityPride.net.
      • Any other duties as needed.

Skills which will be additional assets:

  1. Social Media experience: Facebook, YouTube. and others.
  2. Online and in-person sales, Facebook Marketplace. 3. Email Marketing.
  3. Newsletters and other Publications.
